The unissued 1936 Red Cross Issue was overprinted in Amharic ድ ል (de le) and V for Victory

Poorly formed Amharic letters tend to be fuzzy. The Amharic "Le" has a longer neck than the genuine overprint.

Forgery A Amharic letters are 150-152 mm apart. Genuine overprint letters are 127-130 mm apart. The V is the same size as the original.
