Stelios Georges Bollolakos, Consul of Greece in Dire Daoua, died on January 20, 1936, at the age of 87. He spent 39 years of his life in Ethiopia.
Bollolakos acquired a concession from Empress Taitu Betul (3rd wife of Menelik II) to build the Grand Hotel Continental shortly after the arrival of the railroad in Dire Daoua.
