Menelik Sultan of the Nile Die Proof Essays

The Menelik Sultan of the Nile essays have traditionally associated with Colonel Nikolay Stepanovich Leontieff. They were believed to have been printed in St. Petersburg, Russia. Most likely, they were designed by Louis-Eugène Mouchon and printed by the Atelier de Fabrication de Timbres in Paris, France.

Printed in Red, Black and Orange on thin, off-white, ungummed paper.
